Roger E. Nix, D.V.M.

Veterinarian

 Dr. Nix was born and raised in a farming community of southern Indiana.  He graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 and has been practicing in the Indianapolis area ever since.  His clinical interests include pediatric and geriatric medicine.  Dr. Nix enjoys time with his wife, two sons, two dogs and their cat. His favorite hobbies are flying and sailing.

G. Mark Graves, D.V.M.   

Veterinarian

 Dr. Graves is a life-long resident of Zionsville, IN.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1969 and the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1973 both from Purdue University.  Dr. Graves's wife is a  teacher in the Hamilton Southeastern School System.  They have one married daughter and two grandchildren. Dr. Graves previously owned three small animal practices in the Zionsville and Indianapolis.  His special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and practice management.  He has a special pet, a cat named "Snickles".

Jill Patterson, D.V.M.

Veterinarian

 Dr. Patterson grew up in Noblesville, Indiana and went to Purdue University for her undergraduate work and veterinary school. After graduating from veterinary school, she moved to North Carolina and worked in a small animal veterinary clinic there. She just recently moved back to Indiana to be closer to family and friends. Dr. Patterson has two cats, Gator and Margo, and she is engaged to be married next June. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and scuba diving.

Anita

Office Manager

 Anita is Dr. Nix’s wife and enjoys working with him as the office mangaer  at Sherlock Bones. Anita graduated from Purdue University and then obtained her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Memphis State University.  She enjoys family time with their two sons, two dogs and cat.  She is an active member of her church. She also serves on the board of directors of a local children's foundation and service club.

Tarra

Groomer/Veterinary Assistant

  Tarra has been working at Sherlock Bones Animal Hospital for 3 years, and has been in the veterinary field for about 10 years.  She lives in Lapel,  with her 2 children Chyanna, 12 and Brady, 4 and 2 rescued Shih Tzus Simon and Pheobe.  Tarra enjoys reading and scrapbooking in her sparetime.  Tarra is our groomer here at Sherlock Bones and enjoys grooming very much. 

Stephanie

Veterinary Assistant/Reception

 Stephanie has been in the veterinary field for over 6 years after having worked at a humane society and zoo in Lafayette, IN. When she is not at work you will find Stephanie coaching cheerleading at Fall Creek Valley Middle School and Lawrence Central High School in Lawrence Township. She is also a foster parent for the humane society, while actively rescuing and adopting out stray pets she saves. She lives in Fishers with her new husband, Craig, crazy Labrador, Etta Jayne, Cattledog Mix, Dylan Robert, Brussels Griffon/Chihuahua mix, Princess Dot Com, and 2 cats Vienna and Turk.

Pete

Veterinary Assistant/Reception

 Peter is currently studying to obtain a degree in wildlife management. He is a life-long animal lover and outdoor enthusiast. Pete lives in Noblesville with his big Boston Terrier, Frank. In their spare time Pete and Frank enjoy running, backpacking, and chasing squirrels. His family is the most important thing in Pete's life. He is excited to be at Sherlock Bones, and is enjoying the oppurtunity to serve and help animals and their owners.

Jodie

Veterinary Assistant/Reception

   Jodie is currently working on  a degree in veterinary technology through Purdue University.  She lives in Carmel with her son and 2 cats, Baxter and OJ. Jodie enjoys exercising and spending time outdoors.

 

Brooke

Veterinary Assistant/Reception

   Brooke is currently taking classes for medical office assisting.  She currently lives in Lapel.  Brooke enjoys crocheting and playing ping pong with her friends.  She has a German  Shepherd/ Chow mix named Zoey.
